Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a letter to the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, has nominated US President Donald Trump as a candidate to receive the award.

In the letter, Netanyahu praised Trump's "decisive and extraordinary commitment" to "promoting peace, security, and stability in the world."

He described the Abraham Accords as Trump's most important achievement on the path to peace, writing: "President Trump's bold vision and leadership advanced an innovative diplomacy grounded not in conflict and extremism, but in cooperation, dialogue, and shared prosperity."
