Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, likening the Islamic Republic's nuclear program and ballistic missiles to “two cancerous tumors” that threatened Israel's existence, said that, as a result of cooperation with the United States, these two have now been eliminated — but that this does not mean they can never return.
Speaking to reporters before the official start of a dinner at the White House, he said Israel will keep the Islamic Republic under constant watch to ensure no attempt is made to rebuild its nuclear and missile programs.
According to Netanyahu, the strikes carried out by the United States and Israel on Iran have “changed the face of the Middle East” and created an opportunity to expand the Abraham Accords between Israel and Arab and Muslim countries.
